About GOT7

GOT7 (Hangeul : 갓세븐) is a kpop idol (boyband) from the agency JYP Entertainment. They debuted on January 16, 2014. GOT7 consists of 7 boys from different countries, such as South Korea, Thailand, Hongkong and United States.

They are :

1.     Im Jaebum (Hangeul : 임재범) with the stage name JB, due to him sharing the same name as Yim Jae-bom, a famous senior singer. He acts as the leader of the group and is the lead vocal. He was born in Goyang City, Gyeonggi-do on Januari 6, 1994 and is the second oldest in the group. He, along with Jinyoung had debuted together as the JJ Project in 2012. He had previously took part as the main character in a kdrama "Dream High 2" and "Dream Knight". He also took part in other kdramas such as "Dream High" and "When A Man Falls In Love". He attended Sewon High School and later on Konkuk University as a film major. He often participates in composing and songwritting for GOT7 under the pen name "Defsoul".

2.    Mark Tuan (Hangeul : 마크) is the oldest in the group, being born in Los Angeles, California on September 4, 1993. His stage name is Mark and he is a Taiwanese descent living in Los Angeles, United States. He used to live in Brazil and Paraguay before finally returning back to Los Angeles. He is in charge of rapping and martial arts, such as flipping and such. He also participated in "Dream High" along with the other members.

3.    Jackson Wang (Hangeul : 잭슨) was born in Hong Kong on March 28, 1994. His stage name is Jackson. His born name is Wang Ka Yee. He is from Hong Kong and was a representative of his country's national fencing team. When he was still in the fencing team, he earned 2 gold medals which he stated was a requirement for him to go and train to be an idol in Korea. Along with Mark, he too is in charge of rapping and martial arts. He is the most known in the group as he has participated in many reality shows. He also took part in "Dream High" along with the other members.

4.    Park Jinyoung (Hangeul : 박진영) was born in Jinhae-gu on September 22, 1994. When GOT7 first debuted, he had the stage name "Junior (Jr.)" due to him sharing the same name as JYP Entertainment's CEO, Park Jinyoung. But on August 16, 2016 he changed his stage name to "Jinyoung". He acts as a vocal in the group. Along with JB, he debuted as JJ Project. Also like JB, he has participated in the kdrama "Dream High 2", "Dream Knight" and "When A Man Falls In Love". He also participated in "My Love Eun-Dong" and he is currently taking part in the newest kdrama "The Legend Of the Blue Sea" as the younger character of Lee Min Ho.

5.    Choi Youngjae (Hangeul : 최영재) is the third youngest, being born in Mokpo on September 17, 1996. With JB, he is also the lead vocal. He only trained for 7 months and was the last to join the group. Along with the other members of GOT7, he also took part in "Dream Knight". He attended Seoul Korea Arts High School. He is really good at playing the piano and he really admires Bruno Mars. Like JB, he also participates in composing and songwritting for GOT7 under the pen name "Ars" which he took from his favourite latin quote "Ars Longa Vita brevis" by Hippocrates which means "Art is long, life is short".

6.    Kunpimook Bhuwakul or his stage name BamBam (Hangeul : 뱀뱀) is from Thailand and was born on May 2, 1997. He is also in charge in rapping in the group. He is famous in Thailand as he has appeared in a lot in the front cover of Thai magazines. He also participated in "Dream High". He has 2 older brothers and a younger sister. He attended Pramoch Wittaya Ramindara School in Thailand.

7.    Kim Yugyeom (Hangeul : 김유겸) was born in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do on November 17, 1997. He is the maknae of the group, which means he is the youngest in the group. He is often called "The Big Maknae" as he is very tall and is the tallest in the group. He acts as a vocal along with Jinyoung. He participated in "Dream High" along with the others. He attended Hanlim Arts High School, majoring in street dance.
